OUR STORY
A little piece of forever.
Made for meaningful moments
Stars by Afropls is being built as a celestial gift experience rooted in Ethiopia and open to the world. We bring thoughtful design and personal storytelling to symbolic star dedications.
A real star. A symbolic dedication.
The catalog contains real astronomical objects. Your chosen name is a personal dedication in our private registry, not a replacement for an astronomical catalog name. We do not sell celestial ownership or official naming rights.
Data & attribution
Our 144-star dataset is adapted from HYG v4.1 by David Nash / Astronexus, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0. We selected unique Hipparcos identifiers with proper names, and retained right ascension in hours, declination in degrees, apparent magnitude, constellation abbreviations, and J2000.0 epoch. Screen artwork is decorative; the atlas uses a rectangular coordinate projection, not a local sky simulation.
